The Good Dog....
Let's start with Kringle, the more senior of our two dogs. Kringle was a Christmas present some 11+ years ago. Santa sent Becca-Boo a gift certificate for a puppy as we had just lost our first rottweiler Obbie.... We drove up to Kimberal Kennels http://www.kimbertal.com/ in Kimberton, PA to pick out the little fellow. Go here to see his Daddy, Jr. Thunder http://www.kimbertal.com/rottblood.html When Bob handed Kringle, then Jr's Sun to my husband and said he was whelped on September 24th we knew he was the dog for us. Kringle was whelped on my birthday. When we first got him home he immediately tried to take over the place. Herding us to where he wanted us and when.....at first it was cute, but about 5 pairs of socks later the cuteness wore off an discipline was required. He quickly learned that he could not nip our heels to make us go where he wanted us to and all was well. I will have to hunt up some puppy pictures for ya...he was so darn cute.
Well Kringle spent the first 3 years of his life in a townhouse and steps were never a problem. Then we moved on to Kingsville, where we bought a darling little rancher. Everyone was thrilled, NO MORE STEPS.... whoo hooo. We spent the next 6 years in Kingsville and as Kringle aged he completely forgot how to walk up and down stairs. One would think it was like riding a bike, you just never forget. But he never rode a bike either! So, after 6 years in Kingsville we decided we needed more space. That darling little rancher was just that, little. We moved to a two story in Forest Hill. Well not that any of these locations mean a hill of beans to you...but details none the less..... Kringles first day in the two story was rough! He had forgotten how to climb steps and we have two steep sets of them. He climbed them for a while but his climbing is like a rabbit hopping across the yard. He could just never get his feet into sync. So I got him a nice cozy warm doggie bed and placed it in the family room where he spends most nights now.
Kringle is my gentle giant. Just wants all the love an attention you can give him. If you don't give it to him and he's wanting it....he tells you. He walks up to you and leans all his weight into you. If you are standing, lets hope you have a good foothold. His favorite thing to do no matter what! Go for a WALK! All you gotta do is say the word and his excitement is uncontainable. If you weren't planning on taking him for one and just said the word in a sentence. You're taking him now....
Stop back later to learn about the bad dog!
